Welcome to the spring issue of West Chester & Chadds Ford Life. In this issue, we spotlight the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center, which is currently renovating and expanding its facility. Meet the Raimondo family, whose work to begin Maddi's Bag Foundation has helped children with head injuries find a little bit more joy at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. We also meet Chadds Ford resident John Blankenbaker, who is credited with inventing the first commercially available personal computer. We were there when West Chester University unveiled the newly named Greg and Sandra Weisenstein Veterans Center. We profile artist Brett Walker, who is returning to the local art world with two shows. We take a look at the Westtown School's student-run farm program. The subject of the Q&A is Catherine Seisson, the owner of La Baguette Magique. We also talk to Blaise Labik, one of two executive chefs at the Side Bar & Restaurant, who won this year's Chef's Best competition. As always, it's our pleasure to explore the many places that make our region so special!
