The West Chester Area Community Chorus (WCACC) announces the annual Spring Concert on Saturday, May 7.  It will begin at 7 p.m. at the West Chester East High School Auditorium (450 Ellis Lane in West Chester).  The all-volunteer ensemble has more than 160 members from all over the greater Philadelphia area.

The program features medleys of tunes from "Guys and Dolls" and from the 1930s, as well as men’s and women’s specials and inspirational spirituals. The concert will also feature Ellen Ford, winner of the WCACC’s annual scholarship in 2012, now a senior vocal performance major at Temple University. Tickets are $5, available from any member ahead of time and at the door.

WCACC performs two major concerts per year (winter and spring), but as they approach their 20th anniversary year, they have become increasingly busy, with half a dozen other appearances, at ballparks, churches, the Washington Chapel Veteran's Day Service and downtown street corners.

To join, contact and bring $10 per semester and a love of singing, no audition required. There is one two-hour rehearsal each week, usually Monday evening and usually at West Chester East High School. Visit
